Bowl-a-thon to Raise Money for the 2007 Season!
Come have some fun on January 13, 2007

After our first rehearsal of 2007, The Bridgemen Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps will be holding a fundraiser for the 2007 season on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at Hudson Lanes (directions below*) at 6:00pm. This fundraiser has been successful for other organizations, and every member of the corps must participate.

Aside from your obligation to help us meet our season expenses, this is a reasonably small expense for you and a GREAT opportuntity to learn new names and rub elbows with others in the Bridgemen Family. The more people you get to know, the richer the experience you have as a Bridgemen member. And you get to have fun knocking down pins in our hometown. Imagine the pins as a politician you least like and let loose!

How does it work?
Everyone will receive a sponsor sheet. Then solicit your friends, family members, and co-workers to either sponsor you for each pin you knock down in three games (i.e. 3¢ per pin), or a flat donation ($5 to $10, even up to $69!). Each member of the corps is responsible for at least $50 in sponsorships or donations. If you can raise even more, go for it! Every dollar goes a long way to help us pay our bills.

What if I can't bowl that night?
The bowling part is actually secondary to the donations/sponsorships. You are still responsible for getting sponsors/donations even if you are not bowling. If you are getting a flat donation there is no problem, you just need to collect that amount from that person after the Bowl-a-thon takes place. If you are not bowling, your sponsor sheets need to be handed back at our rehearsal prior to the event. While you can pay the $50 obligation yourself, it's certainly best to solicit donations from others to trim your expenses as a marching member.

The Bowlers!!
The corps members who will be bowling that night are responsible for the cost of bowling and having a good time (it's just $10 for 3 games). NOT ONLY WILL YOU BE HELPING THE BRIDGEMEN ALUMNI CORPS, IT WILL ALSO BE A GREAT WAY TO GET TO KNOW YOUR FELLOW BRIDGEMEN MEMBERS! Your sponsor sheet will need to be handed in the night of the Bowl-a-thon.

Thank you for all your hard work up to this point, and thank you in advance for your efforts on this event.

Any questions, please contact
Patty Ann Meehan, Director of Fundraising.
Hope to see everyone on the 11th!!
